At the back of the phone is the 50MP f/1.8 main camera, and in front is the 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
In the Philippines, the realme C100 starts at PHP 16,999 (PHP 11,195 promo price) for the 4GB/256GB variant. Our unit, the 8GB/256GB edition, is priced at PHP 19,999 (PHP 14,000 promo price).
Big battery & military-grade durable phone
 |
| realme C100 box inclusions |
Inside the box are the realme C100, the 45W SUPERVOOC wall adapter, USB-A to USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, documentation, and silicone case.
The realme C100 is eye-catching and premium-looking out of the box. Upon closer inspection, the front is made of glass, while the frame and the rear panel are made of polycarbonate. It measures 166.48 x 78.23 x 8.63 mm and weighs 219 grams.
It is IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K dust and water resistance rated and has passed MIL-STD-810H military grade shock resistance tests.
 |
| realme C100's left and right sides |
On the left side is the SIM tray, while on the right are the volume rocker and the power key (which doubles as the fingerprint scanner).
 |
| realme C100's top and bottom |
The realme C100's top is smooth, while at the bottom are the speakers, USB-C, and microphone port.
Good durability in real life
GIZGUIDE EIC PJ Icogo accidentally dropped the phone on a smooth tiled floor during a product shoot, yet it showed no dents or scratches. (Of course, avoid rough surfaces to prevent damage, but with its military‑grade certification, it has a higher chance of surviving accidental drops.)
 |
| Underwater shot |
We also tested it in an inflatable kiddie pool, capturing underwater shots of toys—and it performed impressively well.
Vibrant panel
 |
| realme C100's display |
In front is a 6.8-inch LCD screen with HD+ 1570 x 720 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a typical 1,200 nits HBM brightness, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. It features an Eye Comfort Mode, but there is no mention of any certification.
Suprising display quality, but resolution is not 1080p
The images are bright and vibrant, and they never get overly saturated. This quality is very surprising considering that it is just an HD+ display, below the resolution of most similarly priced competitors.
However, even though the texts and images are sharp enough, we hoped that it was a 1080 resolution panel.
For speakers, it features a bottom-firing loudspeaker and the earpiece (which doubles as a second speaker for stereo).
The sound gets surprisingly loud, but the quality between the two is noticeably different. Both produce acceptable sound clarity and balance, but there is noticeable distortion at higher volumes. The earpiece speaker produces sound with less power and less volume overall.
The phone has several microphones that record acceptable audio quality and some aid in voice isolation for calls.
Basic Cameras
 |
| The main camera |
The realme C100 features a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a front-facing 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera.
The rear camera features the following modes: Photo, Video, Portrait, Night, Panorama, Movie, SLO-MO, Dual-View video, TIME-LAPSE, HI-RES, PRO, Text scanner, TILT-SHIFT, Street, Google Lens, and Underwater.
The front-facing camera features the following modes: Photo, Video, Portrait, Night, Panorama, Dual-view video, and TIME-LAPSE.
 |
| realme C100 rear camera daylight 1x |
 |
| realme C100rear camera daylight 2x |
In daylight, the realme C100's images are surprisingly detailed. The colors of the greens are lush, while the buildings look and feel cold. Our only concern is the color banding on the clouds.
 |
| realme C100 rear camera close-up |
In close-ups, the realme C100 produced images with plenty of detail and are surprisingly sharp, too. The transition from the in-focus to the out-of-focus area is smooth as well. The image has a warm tone due to the warm lighting of the cafe.
 |
| realme C100 rear camera Portrait mode |
The Portrait mode allows users to control the aperture of the faux bokeh. However, in the image, we can see that the realme C100's edge detection struggled with the subject's hair and fingers.
 |
| realme C100 rear camera lowlight 1x |
 |
| realme C100 rear camera lowlight 2x |
In low light, it is clear that the noise and noise reduction have thrown the sharpness, detail, and color off. There is some detail, but it's mostly gone, especially where the light sources are. |
| realme C100 rear camera night mode 1x |
 |
| realme C100 rear camera night mode 2x |
The phone's night mode improves the image quality, but the detail in the tree's shadow areas and in the windows is mostly lost. We highly recommend using night mode in low light, especially when the subject is not moving.
Future firmware could improve the image quality to an extent. Hopefully, realme does so.
 |
| realme C100 selfie camera daylight |
 |
| realme C100selfie camera portrait mode |
In daylight, the selfie images are sharp with plenty of detail, but the colors could be more accurate. This is especially apparent on the subject's lips.
 |
| realme C100 selfie camera lowlight |
 |
| realme C100 selfie camera night mode |
Even though the night mode selfie improved the noise, detail, and contrast, it still struggled with skin tones.
AI memory crunch is real
For day-to-day use and tasks, the realme C100 runs through them at a decent pace. It's not the fastest phone around, but it is at the speed of what we expect with this SoC.
Inside the realme C100 is the 12nm MediaTek Helio G92 Max octa-core processor, ARM Mali-G52 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and the massive 8,000mAh battery with 45W SUPERVOOC fast charging via USB-C.

| realme's new Hyper Cooling feature |
The phone features passive cooling and a software feature called Hyper Cooling, where it intelligently throttles performance and screen brightness to reduce heat during use, gaming, or long sessions.

| realme C100 Genshin Impact graphics settings |
On first use, the phone showed minor navigation lags, but performance quickly stabilized, making app launches faster and smoother. After a day, multitasking also felt more reliable.
This improvement is likely driven by its AI‑powered Flux Engine Booster, which intelligently manages system resources, balances CPU load, optimizes RAM, and adapts performance based on user habits.
However, this is still slower than the competition.
Gaming on the realme C100 is a mixed experience. Mobile Legends is playable up to high settings with decent frame rates, while Genshin Impact struggles, especially when the screen is filled with enemies and animations.
Connectivity options include WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.3 with LDAC, GPS, and dual nano‑SIM slots.
In our tests, 4G, WiFi, and Bluetooth delivered stable, reliable connections. However, the phone lacks NFC and 5G support—features now common in many competing devices.
Excellent battery life
 |
| realme C100 4G's battery usage |
As a daily driver, the realme C100 4G has incredible battery life because of its high-capacity 8,000mAh battery and because of the 12nm MediaTek SoC.
In our usual YouTube video loop test at 60 percent brightness and 60 percent volume, the realme C100 4G lasted for 13 hours and 39 minutes until it had to shut down. The phone was warm through most of the run.
GIZGUIDE EIC PJ Icogo also tried it on default settings, and he got almost 24 hours of online video playback.
His 15 minutes of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang gaming also only consumed 2% battery.
When using the phone daily, we were getting a day and a half to two days of use. We also used it as a hotspot for 4 to 5 hours straight, and it still had power in the bank.
The package includes a 45W SUPERVOOC wall adapter that fully charges the battery in about two and a half hours. It reaches 50% in just 45 to 50 minutes, after which charging slows down, likely as a safety measure.
45W charging is already fast, but having support for an even faster charger would have it even better.

| realme UI 7.0 |
realme UI 7.0 introduced several visual changes, such as the Flux Engine system-level animation framework, Light Glass Design, Ice Tube Icons, Misty Glass Control Center, and Breathing Dock.
 |
| AI Outdoor Mode |
It includes several new AI features, such as AI Notify Brief, AI Mind Space, AI Planner, AI Outdoor Mode, improved AI photo and video tools, and enhanced Google Gemini Live integration.
In our experience, the visuals do look and feel faster, but it still isn't the fastest-feeling phone we've tried in this price range.
Gemini is pre-installed and is ready to use. It features Quick Share but does not feature Link to Windows.
Pros - Slim and eye-catching design, plenty of durability feats, massive 8,000mAh battery, LED notification is useful, especially when the phone is facedown
Cons - 720p resolution, 4G only processor, eMMC storage, high price for the specs (without the promo price)
Verdict
The realme C100 was developed during the global chip and memory shortage, resulting in a spec sheet that feels both surprising and nostalgic.
It might be a decent choice for those seeking a military‑grade tough phone with a slim profile and a massive battery.
That said, when stacked against the competition, the C100 4G isn't our top recommendation, unless durability and battery endurance at its promo price are your main priorities.
For users who value raw performance and advanced camera capabilities, options in this price range are limited. You'll need to spend more.
