Still undisputed after 20 years
For the twentieth year running, Acer holds the top spot among laptop brands in the Philippines. Nielsen-GfK figures covering January through May 2026 put the company at 37% of the consumer laptop market and 34.5% of the gaming laptop category.
The figures continue a run that stretches back to 2006. IDC's Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker, in its Q4 2025 release, confirmed Acer as the country's top-ranked laptop brand for 20 straight years through 2025—a year in which the brand posted its highest-ever consumer laptop share, at 37.3%, powered by gains across both gaming and non-gaming lines.
These achievements are deeply meaningful to us as we celebrate Acer's 50th anniversary," said Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines. "They reflect our strong commitment to our mission of breaking barriers between people and technology, one that has guided our innovations for five decades.
Not just hardware
Acer's foothold in the market isn't built on products alone. A broad retail network, wide-reaching after-sales service, and consistent brand campaigns have helped turn Acer into something closer to a lifestyle name, especially among younger Filipino consumers.

Two ongoing programs reflect this:
Acer Day, marking its 10th edition, blends tech promotion with lifestyle events and community programming.
The Asia Pacific Predator League, now heading into its eighth year, doubles as both a major esports tournament and a scouting ground for regional gaming talent.
Reaching into education
Acer's presence also extends to the education space via the Acer Edu Summit. At this regional gathering, policymakers, educators, and tech industry figures discuss how AI and human-centered approaches are reshaping education.
Half a century of operations
2026 brings Acer's 50th year as a company. The brand says its long-running goal—closing the gap between people and technology—continues to guide its push on innovation, reliability, quality, and community involvement.
