CMF Clip Pro open-ear earbuds launched: 10.8mm dual drivers, LDAC, C-bridge design

After the teaser, CMF by Nothing officially unveils the Clip Pro as its first entry into open-wear style buds.

Joining the trend of open-ear design

Nothing's budget-oriented sub-brand CMF has entered the open-ear earbuds category with the CMF Clip Pro, positioning the product around comfort and situational awareness rather than noise isolation.

Each earbud weighs 5.9 grams and carries an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance. The design uses a flexible C-bridge with a titanium wire core that can be bent to fit different ear shapes.

The Orange model

The earbuds use a 10.8mm dual-magnetic dynamic driver with a TPU diaphragm, which CMF describes as larger than drivers typically found in clip-on earbuds. Other specifications include Bluetooth 5.4 with dual-device connectivity, and support for LDAC, AAC, and SBC codecs.

Battery life is rated at up to 10 hours per charge, or 32.5 hours with the charging case; a 10-minute charge is said to provide several additional hours of playback.

When worn on your ears

The charging case includes a rotating dial, referred to by CMF as the Smart Dial, which can be used to adjust volume, control playback, answer calls, or initiate pairing without accessing the phone directly. Each earbud also has a physical button for controls. The earbuds support Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair.

As open-ear, clip-style earbuds, the Clip Pro allows ambient sound to pass through while directing audio toward the ear canal. CMF says it has incorporated technology intended to offset the reduced bass response common to this earbud design.

The CMF Clip Pro will launch in the UK, US, and Japan on August 15 in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Coral colorways through Nothing's website and select retailers. The earbuds will become available in Europe and other markets on September 15.
