Sony Xperia 10 VIII launched: 6.1-inch OLED, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, and 50MP main camera

This is Sony's newest mid-range phone
Sony has kept the Xperia 10 VIII's design largely consistent with its predecessors, retaining the clean, notch-free and punch-hole-free front panel the series is known for.
Side bezels remain fairly slim, though the top and bottom borders are noticeably thicker than what is typically seen on phones in this price segment. The dedicated camera shutter button on the right edge also returns unchanged.
Meanwhile, the phone is available in Frozen White, Frosted Grey, and Misty Lilac color options.
The display is a 6.1-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. According to Sony, brightness has improved by 50 percent compared to the previous generation.

Performance comes from Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Notably, this is the same processor used in the Xperia 10 VII, meaning the new model is unlikely to offer any meaningful performance gains over its predecessor despite the other updates.
Battery capacity remains at 5,000mAh, with Sony again stating that the phone can last up to two days on a single charge.
On the camera front, the Xperia 10 VIII features a dual-camera system on the back, consisting of a 50MP main sensor measuring 1/1.56 inches and a 13MP ultra-wide lens.
Elsewhere, Sony has updated the dual speakers, which the company says now deliver fuller sound.
The most notable change comes on the software side. The phone introduces a new Point & Pay feature, allowing users to double-press the power button to quickly bring up payment QR codes and loyalty cards.
The Xperia 10 VIII ships with Android 16 out of the box.
