Sony showcases Xperia 10 VIII w/ new design and "2 days battery life"

Sony today showcased the new Xperia 10 VIII design. The company also shared some of its key features.

The new Sony Xperia 10 VIII features a new "lightweight" and sleek design for everyday comfort with Translucent Layer colors inspired by nature and light in a frosted texture for a premium look.

Colors available are Frozen White, Frosted Gray, and Misty Lilac.

For the display, the company said that it has a display 50% brighter than the previous model, optimized for visibility in sunlight. It also has Automatic colour adjustment derived from Sony's higher‑tier display technology and up to 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and swiping.

In the camera department, Sony said that it uses "large-sensor cameras for better performance in varied lighting conditions, comes with a quick shooting mode, and features a dedicated camera button that can instantly launch the camera even when the screen is off.

It also has up to 2 days of battery life on a single charge, up to 4 years of healthy battery life, stereo speakers, plenty of Google Gemini integrated AI features, up to 4 years of Android OS upgrades, and up to 6 years of security updates.

The rest of the missing specs are expected to be revealed soon. This is likely positioned as a camera-focused mid-ranger with a sleek design.
