Acer Predator Atlas 7 launched: 7-inch display, Intel Arc G3 chip, and Arc B390 iGPU

Acer has announced the Predator Atlas 7, a new gaming handheld that brings the performance of the recently launched 8-inch model into a smaller 7-inch design. 

The company also unveiled Project DualPlay Mini, a concept device combining gaming handheld and mobile productivity functions. 

Predator Atlas 7

The Predator Atlas 7 (PA07-I51) targets gamers seeking a more portable device without sacrificing performance. It runs on up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor paired with Intel Arc B390 graphics.

Meanwhile, the handheld's design includes contoured grips, an enlarged palm rest, recessed keys, and anti-slip texturing intended to improve grip and control during extended play. 

Its joysticks offer an optional tunneling magnetoresistance (TMR) sensor for improved precision and drift resistance, while Hall-effect analog triggers cater to genres requiring finer pressure control. A fingerprint reader built into the power button enables Windows Hello login.

The display is a 7-inch FHD touchscreen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, 500 nits peak brightness, variable refresh rate support, and a 16:9 aspect ratio. 

It's also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC surface treatment, and ships with a tempered-glass screen protector. The touchscreen supports 10-point multi-touch input.

Cooling is handled by a dual-fan system: a metal Predator AeroBlade fan with 89 thin blades, said to improve airflow by up to 10%, works alongside a secondary plastic fan that uses angled internal channels to direct heat away from the chassis. Battery capacity reaches up to 80 Wh.

Furthermore, its audio system is handled through DTS:X Ultra with dual 2-Watt speakers, and dual microphones use Acer PurifiedVoice for AI-based noise reduction during voice calls.

Connectivity includes dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, UHS-II microSD card support, Intel Killer WiFi 7, and Bluetooth 5.4. 

The PredatorSense app offers system monitoring, performance profiles, and RGB lighting controls. 

Finally, the device supports Xbox Game Pass integration, giving users access to a large game library along with Windows 11 gaming features out of the box.

Project DualPlay Mini

Project DualPlay Mini is a concept device from the Predator brand designed to serve as both a gaming handheld and a mobile productivity tool. Rather than functioning as a single-purpose device, it's built to shift between the two use cases without requiring separate hardware.

For gaming, the 8-inch device offers two control modes: a built-in backlit keyboard for a laptop-style setup suited to first-person shooters, and a handheld controller mode for other game genres. For productivity, it can connect to an external monitor to support mobile work.

The device features a flip-and-swivel design that converts between handheld and mini-laptop configurations. Marking Acer's 50th anniversary, its back cover includes the phrase "Acer 50 since 1976" rendered in Morse code.

Project DualPlay Mini uses the same dual-fan cooling structure as the Predator Atlas 8—a metal Predator AeroBlade fan paired with a plastic fan—though its metal fan uses thinner blades.

Acer says the concept reflects its broader push to merge gaming and productivity hardware into more versatile mobile devices.

In terms of availability, the Predator Atlas 7 will arrive first in North America this coming Q4 2026, while the EMEA region will experience it in November. No word yet for the Philippines as of this writing.

Finally, the Project DualPlay remains a concept only, and no availability details have been mentioned. We will let you know if Acer decides this device as consumer ready.
