Apple Watch Series 12 priced in PH: 42 or 46mm sizes, Ceramic Shield 2, and Health Sensing features, from PHP 28,990

Apart from the iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max, and iPhone Duo, Apple also unveiled the new watches.

Apple has announced the Watch Series 12, an update focused on more frequent health monitoring and a new set of audio-based AI features.

The Series 12 is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes, with aluminum and titanium cases. A ceramic option returns in white and blue.

Aluminum models feature an updated Ceramic Shield 2 glass, which Apple says is 60% more durable than the previous generation.

Other strap colors

Among the highlights introduced is the Health Sensing System, featuring redesigned optical and electrical sensors with larger green LEDs. 

These allow background heart rate readings every five seconds and Heart Rate Variability (HRV) measurements up to 24 times more often than on the Series 11.

This additional data supports a new Readiness metric, a daily score from 0 to 10 based on recent activity, sleep, and daytime vitals, indicating whether to rest or work out. Similar functionality has previously been available on devices from Garmin and Oura.

Furthermore, Apple also adds passive notifications for potential hypertension and sleep apnea. A redesigned Health app on iPhone introduces a Health Age metric, comparing a user's data to age-based averages.

The new S11 chip supports a set of microphone-based features under the name Audio Intelligence. 

Live Rewind transcribes the previous 15 seconds of audio when the user double-clicks the Digital Crown, intended for moments when a detail in conversation is missed. 

A second feature, Siri Recap, generates text summaries of recent conversations.

Apple states that all audio processing occurs on-device via the S11 chip's Secure Enclave, with no raw audio stored or sent to the cloud. 

When Live Rewind is active, the watch plays an audible chime and displays an on-screen animation to indicate to nearby people that transcription is in progress.

Battery life remains rated at 24 hours for standard use, while outdoor workout tracking is rated for up to 10 hours. Charging speed has also improved, with 15 minutes of charging providing 12 hours of use. The Series 12 ships with watchOS 27, which includes an updated Siri integration for more conversational interactions.

The watch is available for pre-order today and will begin shipping on September 18th.
