What's new with Apple A20 Pro?

First, the Apple A20 Pro is the first Apple chip manufactured under TSMC's 2nm N2 process, offering higher transistor density, better efficiency, and lower power consumption.

Second, it highlights a 6-core design with 2x "super cores" that is said to be "desktop-class" and 4x efficiency cores. According to Apple, this is 20% faster than the previous generation.

It aalso has a redesigned 7-core GPU with improved memory bandwidth delivering up to 40% faster graphics as well as a new dual 16-core Neural Engine (32 cores in total) for advanced on-device AI tasks like running large language models.

For memory, it has
50% wider memory interface to enable smoother multitasking and sustained performance.

For improved thermals, its new M-series-inspired packaging connects silicon directly to a vapor chamber, improving sustained performance by up to 40% vs A19 Pro.

Real-world benchmarks are still pending, but Apple’s track record and the specs suggest the A20 Pro could set the new benchmark for mobile processors.

What do you guys think?
