A versatile new wireless mic?

The standard Insta360 Mic provides flagship features at a more accessible price point compared to its Pro counterpart. It introduces expandable microSD card storage, along with a 6-color E-ink display.

The transmitter has a unique coin-shaped design, weighing just 19.4 grams. Its front features a 1.22-inch 6-color E-ink display. With the Insta360 smartphone app, creators can upload custom channel logos, graphics, or images to personalize their on-camera appearance.

For attachment, the transmitter offers versatile mounting options using included magnetic clips and button magnets. The package also comes with deadcat furry windscreens for outdoor shooting and a dedicated charging case that securely holds and recharges both the transmitters and receiver while on the go.

Insta360 Mic's 6-color E-Ink display

Unlike models with built-in memory, the Insta360 Mic features a dedicated microSD card slot. By inserting a microSD card, creators can record high-dynamic-range 32-bit float audio onboard as a fail-safe backup. This way, they can eliminate clipping concerns and not worry about running out of limited internal storage during extended shoots.

Equipped with an omnidirectional pickup pattern, the microphone utilizes an integrated NPU audio processing chip to deliver AI-assisted noise cancellation. It includes Automatic Gain Control with Auto and Dynamic modes, as well as three selectable voice tone presets: Regular, Rich, and Bright, allowing users to customize vocal warmth and presence.

The battery life lasts up to 13 hours per transmitter on a single charge and up to 34 hours total when using the charging case. A quick 5-minute charge provides over 2 hours of operating time.
