Samsung Galaxy A18 coming soon in PH: Helio G99+, 6.7-inch Super AMOLED, 50MP camera

Apart from the launch of the Galaxy A08 in PH today, Samsung says the Galaxy A18 is coming soon to the country by December 2026.

The last Galaxy phone in 2026?

Previously announced in France last September, the Galaxy A18 appears to have slight changes in the processor department. The France model featured an Exynos chip, but the PH version gets a MediaTek one.

It still has the same Galaxy appearance with its rounded corners and sleek aesthetics. The phone is also available in Black, Silver, and Light Blue colorways. Additionally, it sports a glass-fiber-reinforced polymer back and an IP64 dust and water resistance rating.

In front, the phone features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Inside, the Galaxy A18 uses a 6nm MediaTek Helio G99+ octa-core processor with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It is paired with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage and is expandable by up to 2TB via a memory card.

For the battery, it has a 5,000mAh capacity paired with a 25W USB-C power adaptor.

Camera-wise, it uses a 50MP f/1.8 main shooter with AF + a 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide sensor + a 2MP f/2.4 macro camera.

For selfies, it uses a 13MP front sensor.

Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, dual-SIM support, USB-C, and Android 17 with One UI 9 out of the box.

Samsung also promises six years of OS upgrades and security updates through October 2032.
