TCL unveils 5 new tablets in PH, including NXTPAPER series w/ matte panels

TCL has expanded its tablet lineup in the Philippines with five new models.

New entry-level tablets for gifts this festive season

The range runs from entry-level devices to premium tablets that use the company's NXTPAPER display technology. TCL, which describes itself as the country’s top-selling panel TV brand, says the series targets entertainment, productivity, and creative use.

TCL CEO Peter Chen said the devices use the company’s proprietary display technology, which is designed to give a paper-like viewing experience and reduce eye strain and screen fatigue.

Tablet NOTE A1 NXTPAPER

The lineup starts with the Note A1 NXTPAPER which weighs 500 grams and measures at 5.5mm thickness.

In front, it features a 120Hz 2.2K 11.5-inch NXTPAPER Pure Display technology. TCL says blue-light emission is under 2.44 percent, and the screen carries TÜV and SGS certifications. 

It is also covered by 3A Crystal Shield Glass, which the company says resists glare, reflections, and fingerprints.

Inside, the tablet runs on a 2.2GHz 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 processor with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, an 8,000mAh battery + 33W charging. 

It ships with the T-Pen Pro stylus and includes AI-driven productivity features, aimed at professionals who mark up documents and creators.

Next is the TAB A1 Plus NXTPAPER. It weighs just 556 grams and is 6.7 millimeters thick. 

In front, it has a 12.2-inch, 2.4K, 120Hz display with NXTPAPER Eye Comfort Technology. TCL positions it as an alternative to a laptop for everyday work, citing split-screen multitasking.

Inside, the tablet is powered by a 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The 10,000mAh battery supports 33W charging. The T-Pen 2 stylus and a keyboard case are included in the box.

The third model is called the 11.2-inch NXTPAPER tablet, featuring an 11.2-inch, 2.1K, 90Hz matte display. It weighs 426 grams and is 6.2 millimeters thick. TCL promotes it for reading, light work like email and presentations on the go, and media streaming.

Tablet A1 NXTPAPER series

At the helm, the device uses a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 processor with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its battery is rated at 8,000mAh with 20W charging.

Moving forward, the 4th device is the standard TAB A1 Plus. It has a 12.2-inch LCD with a 2400 x 1600 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, using NXTVISION. It weighs 560 grams and is 6.7 millimeters thick. TCL says the screen delivers sharp, bright images and fluid navigation for multitasking, streaming, and casual gaming.

It uses the 4nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, paired with LPDDR5 memory, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage. The 8,000mAh battery supports 20W charging.

The TAB A1 Series with NXTVISION tech

The last device is the  TAB A1, which is the lineup's budget model. It has a metal unibody that weighs 430 grams and is 6.2 millimeters thick. 

TCL markets it as a shared device for households, including children’s learning. It has an 11-inch, 2.1K display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and TCL says it includes eye-care protection.

The tablet runs on a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its battery is 8,000mAh, with 20W charging.
