The My33 features the same package that we saw with My32. It goes in with a pleasant looking thick box showcasing the My33 and the other freebies you'll get.

After digging deeper in to the package, you'll get a standard 1A wall charger / adapter, MyPhone's usual thick yet flexible data / charging cables, in ear monitors with mic and manuals. As a part of their 8th year anniversary, MyPhone's My33 buyers will also get a FREE great looking watch with authentic leather strap and SIM with 100 MB FREE monthly data for 1 year.

Compared with My32, what's missing in its package is the inclusion of a screen protector.

Build Quality / Design

MyPhone's specialized in making phones with great durability even on a tight budget, this device is no different. The My33 is a fairly solid device that's made out of polycarbonate shell that doesn't feel flimsy at all. The glass on top is protected by an unknown type of Gorilla Glass that should prevent light scratches and damages.

In terms of design, the My33 the exact love child of CloudFone Excite Prime and MyPhone My36. They look very similar with that on-screen buttons, semi rounded frames / corners and faux leather back cover. The only difference is the My33 is smaller at just 5 inches and used chrome painted plastic instead of a full metal frame. The result is you get an elegant looking fairly slim phone that's nice to hold as well without sharp and annoying edges.

Button placement on the other hand is exactly what I find ergonomic and easy to locate on a phone. All the buttons is located on the right side, the micro USB port and mic below and headphone port on top of the device.

Note: There's also an LED notification on top that turns red when charging

As of the moment

So far, my first experience with this device was great! MyPhone's My33 is nearly everything that I wanted to see on a sub 5K device in terms of aesthetics and specs. It's a clear improvement over the ageing Rio 2 which is nice and refreshing to see. It also goes with their very own heavily skinned My OS that doesn't have an app drawer anymore which could be the preference of some.

For now, we'll play around with this device first and give you our complete report on how it performs and compete against the likes of the Flare 4 series and etc. Watch out!
