The SKK Lynx Luxe is an entry level device that boast pretty impressive design and build for the asking price. Now the question is, it is more than just a pretty budget phone? Let's try to answer that now.

Build Quality / Design

The gorgeous faux leather like textured back |
The SKK Lynx Luxe is an impressively built device for the asking price. It boast an all metal frame that appears to be well machined. It's not as polished like the ones that usually reserved for the higher end phones, but we got to appreciate the effort by SKK by putting something this nice here.
|
Removable batteries! |
Design-wise, it reminds me of an iPhone combined with the design language of the original Lynx and Samsung Galaxy S5. To be honest, I liked the faux leather texture at the back that adds more flair with this phone.
|
Even the volume rocker and power button looks solidly constructed |
It also has an unusual button placement at the left side where you can find the volume rocker and power button.
|
On top you'll find the 3.5 mm jack and micro USB port |
So far the only odd thing for me when it comes to the build and design is the protruding camera at the back that may be prone to scratches.

Display Quality
During my short time with the SKK Lynx Luxe, I discovered several things there that some of you may not like. Even if it boast an HD, IPS and OGS like screen with balanced color tone / decent viewing angles, there's one major problem with the display of the unit I tried, which is the touch response.
|
Nice viewing experience |
The SKK Lynx Luxe doesn't have a good response. There are times that I had a hard time in navigating the phone, swiping and typing. Hopefully, that problem is just with the unit I was able to test.
Camera Samples

Great details for an 8 MP camera, but the shot is a bit reddish |

The 5 MP selfie camera has a more natural color tone |
Performance Impressions
The unit that I was able to hold for quite some time was pretty speedy. The use of 1.3 GHz Spreadtrum SC8830 quad core processor, Mali 400 GPU and 1 GB of RAM might be the main reason for that.

To my surprise, the UI used by SKK Mobile here was near stock Android and has very little bloatwares. Except for the Easy Shop app that can't be uninstalled. To my liking the storage was also unified. However, it doesn't have OTG capability that disappoints me a little. Fortunately, it still maintains the smart gestures found with SKK Lynx Octa.

The expected antutu score |
Pro's - Fantastic build and design for the price, quite large battery at 2,500 mAh, 1 GB RAM and decent camera performance
Con's - Screen isn't that responsive, 2 point multitouch only, no OTG capability
As of the moment
I appreciate the effort placed by the guys from SKK Mobile here so far as the Lynx Luxe is one of the more solid devices you can get around at this price point. It was quite speedy, the use of Android 5.1 Lollipop is a huge plus, the camera performed decently and the build / design is superb. However, there are some solid flaws stated above that should be avoided in their future releases.
Note: Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fully test the unit due to limited time, but I will update this post soon.
