It works like a bio-metric scanner that only unlocks the phone, files or apps only with enrolled fingers making it more secure plus other features. However, it's more commonly found for more expensive smartphones. Fortunately, there are some affordable ones that are readily available in our country today.

So what we did is list down all the smartphones with fingerprint sensor in the Philippines you can get under 12K Pesos.
Note: I did not include handsets that we were obsolete and those who aren't officially available in the Philippines yet including grey market only smartphones.

That's why its one of our most recommended handsets with its fair asking price of 7,690 Pesos. Not only that, this also has one of the more accurate scanners around. Update: It's now on sale for 4,999 Pesos only.

4. Elephone P8000 - This very popular device was well known for its big battery and powerful configurations with its low asking price of 7,799 Pesos only, but this one also has a fingerprint scanner that makes it fit our list. However, our fingerprint scanner experience here isn't too refined compared with the more accurate and faster S1.

5. Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie - The first entry from Cherry Mobile came in a form of a "selfie machine" that touts near best in class specs for the price aside from its super sleek look. This set also surprised me by having good speed and accuracy in its scanner. This phone retails at 7,999 Pesos.

6. Cherry Mobile Flare Mate - Aside from its good large screen, decent cameras and good performance. One of the reasons why the Flare Mate is my favorite CM device is its ergonomically placed sensor at the back. This phone has an SRP of 8,999 Pesos.

7. Lenovo Vibe K4 Note - This multimedia centric phone with great audio quality, VR technology and good specs made out list because it deserves to be here at 10,499 Pesos only.

8. Elephone P9000 - Like what I said previously, the P9000 is a must buy if you're into gaming on a budget and wants top notch specs under 12K. It's in our list as it has a fingerprint scanner at the back. However, like the P8000 it isn't as accurate as the much cheaper S1.

9. Huawei GR5 - The last phone in our list is probably the most stylish and refined in the bunch. At just 11,990 Pesos, the Huawei GR5 goes with incredible value for money for its overall performance and most advanced fingerprint scanner on this list that can do a lot of things.
