MediaTek Helio X30 10 Core CPU Announced, The Next Super Chip?

Today, MediaTek has announced their latest Helio X30 chipset, another 10 core CPU that comes with a tri-cluster design like their previous X20 and X25 line.

This time, the MediaTek Helio X30 deca core processor will feature a a design built using TSMC's 10nm FinFET process. It'll contain a four Cortex A-73 clocked at 2.8 GHz (for the heavy task), four Cortex A-53 at 2.2 GHz and two Cortex A-35 to load the lighter applications.

MediaTek's new power chip can also support up to 40 MP camera sensor, capture videos as high as 24 MP, up to 60 fps at 16 MP, and up to 8 MP of 120 fps video. The Helio X30 also supports up to LTE Cat. 12 and up to 8 GB of RAM.

The graphics card that it will use is a PowerVR 7XT which has heavy VR support, up to 60% performance increase against the PowerVR Series6XT GPUs, and DirectX 11 Feature Pack.

The Helio X30 is expected to debut in some high-end Asian smartphones by the second half of 2016.
