Cherry Mobile Iris Showcased, A Budget Phone With Iris Scanner For PHP 3499 Only!
At the certain Cherry Mobile provincial road show last night, the local smartphone giant has introduced another innovative entry level handset, the Iris.
Just like what most budget phones are, the Cherry Mobile Iris equipped with modest configurations. It sports a 5 inch HD IPS screen with 294 ppi, 1.3 GHz MT6580 quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB of expandable to 32 GB ROM, 8 MP main camera, 5 MP front facing selfie camera, WiFi, HSPA+, Bluetooth, and dual SIM card slots.

What's special with this phone is it loads with an Iris scanner ala Samsung Galaxy Note 7. It's a security feature that scans the eyes of the user to unlock the phone. We're not just sure yet how well Cherry Mobile implemented this, but that's still interesting as this is the most affordable phone we encountered that has that feature.
