In an event in China, Microsoft has finally made its 2017 edition of the Surface Pro official. It has an new thinner and lighter chassis than its predecessor. Microsoft boasts that it now has its SSD integrated with the motherboard to create a fanless design for quieter operation and better battery life.

The Microsoft Surface Pro has a 12.3 inch 2736 x 1824 resolution screen, different CPU configurations (7th gen Core m3, Core i7, or Core i7), 4 / 8 / 16 GB of RAM, 128 GB / 256 GB / 512 GB / 1 TB SSD, and up to 13.5 hours battery life.


Microsoft also added an 8 MP main camera, 5 MP front facing camera, and 4G LTE connectivity.

The Microsoft Surface Pro is now on pre-order for with a price that starts at USD 799 or around PHP 40K. Worldwide shipment will begin this June 15.

There will also be a new Surface Pen with 096 pressure points, reduced 21 milliseconds latency and tilt functionality, new Signature Type Covers (USD 129) in wrapped in Alcantara like the Surface Laptop, new Surface Dock with four USB ports and two 4K display support
