Huawei Partners With TÜV Rheinland To Certify SuperCharge Technology

Today, Huawei Consumer Business Group has announced the company's recent cooperation with TÜV Rheinland in order to certify the Huawei SuperCharge technology.

According to Huawei, the TÜV Rheinland certification will mark the first time an end-to-end fast-charging technology has successfully completed the rigorous tests set forth by the world-renowned safety experts.

The testing made by the two companies encompasses every component, requiring adapters, IC circuits and charging cable materials to pass safety, low temperature and thermal shock tests.

In case you missed it, the Huawei SuperCharge technology was first introduced with Huawei Mate 9 that can safely full charge its 4,000 mAh of battery in just an hour. Huawei has also added this feature on the P10 and P10 Plus.

The SuperCharge solution features a 4.5V / 5A low-voltage charging solution that enables continuous "communication" between the device and the charger. It intelligently auto-adjust the voltage and current output to maximize charging speed based on the capacity of the phone as well as the adapter and cable.

Moreover, connectors and charging jack on Huawei’s devices are programmed to automatically suspend the supply of electricity if they come into contact with water to prevent short circuits and device fires.
