Lenovo K8 Note: First Camera Samples

The new Lenovo K8 Note is arguably the most intriguing handset from the company in a positive way. It has ridiculously good overall specs under PHP 10K.

Having said that, it also has the best dual main camera specs (for photograhy) that we ever saw at this price point yet. In particular, it has a 13MP + 5MP setup w/ PDAF focus and dual tone LED flash behind.

Bright f/1.7 lens under PHP 10K!

The primary 13MP sensor even has an f/1.7 bright and wide lens that should be great for lowlight photography. It's the most affordable phone w/ f/1.7 lens in the Philippines right now!

The secondary 5MP sensor is for depth effect. It allows users to adjust the aperture via software from f/2.8 to f/1.2 for your bokehlicious shots.

13MP front camera!

In front, the selfie camera specs is also quite nice. It has a 13MP f/2.0 selfie shooter w/ face beauty mode and LED flash.

The dual main cameras of the K8 Note are quite promising for daylight shots. It delivered images w/ well balanced colors, fine details, good exposure, and decent dynamic range. 

The depth effect can also blur the background well; however, it could be a hit or miss. There are times where it would look pretty natural, but there are occasions where your shots would look artificial w/ not that clean looking edges.

For lowlight, it is just fine so far. But, it is just decent. We expected it to be a bit more detailed and brighter in lowlight conditions.

Focus is also quite fast, but shutter speed could have been faster.

This is a good selfie phone so far.
