Dell made their own announcements at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. They showcased new PCs, software and partnerships for 2018.

They are continuing their push for innovation and quality consumer products. They announced the new and improved XPS 13 laptop, the new XPS 15 12-in-1 laptop, the Dell Mobile Connect software and more.

Sam Burd, President of Client Solutions Group for Dell, stated this about their new products:

The Dell XPS 13 is improved in every possible aspect. Enough to be awarded with the CES 2018 Innovation Award. It now has a new Infibity Edge 4K UHD display that delivers crisp and crystal clear images. It also adds a Rose Gold with Alpine white woven glass fiber interior with narrower borders that makes way for up to 80% more thermal headroom. It is also has a thinner and lighter design. But, it did not compromise performance as it has the Dell Power Manager that delivers much needed power just whenever you need. It also now has the GORE Thermal Insulation that is the same technology used in the Mars Rover to handle the thermal management.

There is an awkward yet much needed market for thinner, lighter yet powerful mobile devices that can both supply the needs of a hobbyist and a professional creator. The XPS 15 2-in-1 is touted to be the most powerful tablet/laptop hybrid yet. It has a balance of high performance while maintaining a sleek design. It has an 8th Gen Intel Core processor that now has a Radein RX Vega M graphics integration. It can now process huge files and even play AAA games. It will also feature a touch display, a pen and an innovative Maglev keyboard. It also has a 15.6 inch 4K UHD display that would certainly make it a great partner for creators.

Dell Mobile Connect Software

Dell wants to innovate the way people control their computer. Away with the mouse and keyboard setup and use your smartphone with the Dell mobile Connect Center. Dell is the fiest PC maker to introduce a software that is enables smartphone integration be it an on iOS or Android. It will be pre-installed to new Dell consumer PCs. You will be able to make calls, send texts, get notifications and even fully mirror your smartphone to use your favorite mobile apps.

Dell Cinema

Watching TV shows and movies on your PCs have always been a great option. Dell wants to make the cinematic experience complete through Dell Cinema that is now available on XPS and Inspiron PCs. It will include three features. First off is CinemaColor, which is powered by Windows HD Color, that decodes and displays content at with HDR that gives the image a more enhanced detail, more vivid colors and sharper brightness.

Next is the CinemaSound, which is a Dell exclusive audio tech that is powered by Waves Maxx Audio Pro that can deliver clearer highs, better bass and higher volume that is essential for an immersive cinematic audio experience. 

Lastly, they have CinemaStream which is powered by Killer and SmartByte. It is a software-based solution that optimizes online streaming and interactive video. It will lessen buffering, improve bandwidth and provide better resolution.

They also announced some new Ultra thin displays, an Alienware Command Center and eSports training center. An overall impressive CES 2018 lineup from Dell.
