Fitbit launches the Ionic smartwatch in the Philippines, priced at PHP 15,690

Earlier, Fitbit officially launched the Ionic smartwatch in the Philippines. It's the latest full-pledged fitness device of the company designed to track and monitor your health.

The Fitbit Ionic boasts a beautiful nano-molded aerospace grade  aluminum clad water resistant watch case with interchangeable comfortable rubber traps.

It has a 1.42-inch touch screen colored display with a resolution of 348 x 250 pixels at 302 ppi and Sapphire Glass protection against scratches on top.

It also boasts the classic features found on Fitbit devices. It includes the all-day activity tracker, automatic sleep tracking, and guided breathing sessions to help release stress. The Ionic also has multiple clock faces, 

It even has accelerator, motion detecting sensor, optical heart-rate monitor, GPS, NFC chip (for contactless transactions via Fitbit Pay) and SpO2 sensor for checking blood oxygen saturation levels.

The fitness smartwatch can also be used to store music (up to 300 songs), app alerts (call, text, calendar, and etc.), and view partner apps like weather and sport. It also has on-screen coaching and different modes (run bike, weights, and etc).

Then since its water resistant, the Ionic can be used to track your swimming activity. The Ionic has a promise of up to 5 days battery life and up to 10 hours with music and GPS usage.

Fitbit also boasts that it has an SDK (developer kit) where you can customize and create your own app.

The Fitbit Ionic is now available in major retail partners including Digital Walker, Beyond the Box, iBook Timeline, The Inbox Store, iLiberty, Globe Telecom, Proton, Mobile 1, Banana Telecom, iCenter Cebu, Ambassador, Abenson, Lazada, Zalora, and Shoplite store in the Philippines.

It comes in silver gray tracker and clasp with blue gray band, smoke gray tracker and clasp with charcoal band, and burnt orange tacker with and clasp with flat blue band.

There are also other bands like the Sport Bands (black and charcoal sport / cobalt and lime sport) and Perforated Leather Accessory Bands (cognac horween leather and midnight blue horween leather), but there's no local SRP for them yet.
