Based on the recently approved mysterious Sony phone at the FCC (US Federal Communications Commission), the handset with the FCC ID PY7-21831A will be using a USB Type-C port for both audio and charging functions. Therefore, it won't have the headphone jack slot anymore.
The schematics showed the USB Type-C port below with no headphone jack slot.
Other details revealed that Sony's upcoming phone will feature a 5.7-inch screen that measures at 152.79 x 72.42 mm. It is also unclear if it'll feature the new and trendy 18:9 or conventional 16:9 screen aspect ratio.
There are also rumors that this could be the second gen Sony Xperia XZ phone. It could be revealed at MWC 2018.
