At CES 2018, there has been no shortage of amazing and advanced wearables, smartphones and smart appliances. LG is taking advantage of their "Open Partnership, Open Platform and Open Connectivity" strategy to be a leader in AI utilization. They showcased a diverse line up of smart products that shows how AI can improve our daily lives.

LG's smart appliances have Google Assistant integration. This will help LG achieve their vision of a simple yet future-proof connected smart home experience. These smart appliances includes washing machines, clothes dryer, refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, vacuums and air purifiers. With these, you can now have an interactive smart home.

Google Assistant's presence will make interacting with these smart appliances easy and simple. They can issue voice command through their smartphones using Google Assistant to check information such as the remaining time for wash cycles, turning off the range even if you are in the living room and much more, LG also made the setup process user-friendly and convenient with their SmartThinQ app.

Filipino consumers has a lot to look forward to in terms of availability for LG's smart appliance lineup. The LG InstaView Door-in-Door smart refrigerator, for one, allows the user to access their favorite food item by simply knocking on the glass panel twice. This will then reduce cold air loss by up to 41% which means the food inside will stay fresh longer. With the SmartThinQ app, the Instaview DID can be controlled to set the refrigerator temperature, control HygieneFRESH+ and diagnose the refrigerator's health through their smartphone.

LG looks to improve their AI capabilities more in the future. They are looking to use the adaptive nature of AI so that their smart appliance can adapt to the user's habits and data. The future of AI and smart homes really seems bright.
