Sony updates XA1, XA1 Plus, and XA1 Ultra to Oreo!

Sony's Xperia XA1 trio are included in the company's initial list of devices that will get updated to Oreo.

Today, we spotted a report online that Sony has already started seeding the OTA update for the Android 8.0 Oreo update for the Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Plus, and Xperia XA1 Ultra.

According to XperiaBlog's report, the Oreo update for the XA1 family weighs around 900MB. It also brings the February 2018 security patch level of Android.

The Oreo update brings lots of improvements like smart reminders and actios via Xperia Assist and context menus when you long press on an app or select a text.

It also has the new optimizations by Android which makes the performance better overall and much more.

In case you missed it, the Xperia XA1 series are capable mid-range smartphones powered by MediaTek's 64-bit Helio P20 octa-core processor. All three of them did very well in our reviews last year.
