Converge ICT and the FTTH Council Asia Pacific is going to hold the 13th Annual FTTH APAC Conference here in Manila for 2018.

The 2018 FTTH APAC Conference is going to be held in May 8 to May 10, 2018 at the Shangri-La Hotel at the Fort in Makati City. This is going to be a gathering of all the companies that are active in the telecoms market in the Asia-Pacific regions.

They are expecting over 600 senior executives to participate this year. There are going to be a lot of representatives from the region's top operators, solution providers and vendors as well.

Some of the topics that they are going to be focusing on will include the following:

• The importance of fiber technology to the network edge for future proof telecom networks in the Philippines.
• How digital services can serve as a critical economic platform for the country and serve as a launch pad for innovation as well.
• Ways to design win-win partnerships between the Philippine governments, telco carriers, "extreme" players and non-traditional investors.
• The needs of the Philippines in terms of entertainment and connected living needs.
• Visions for the future of telecommunications and entertainments in the country.

They are looking to open up communication lines to hopefully improve the network speeds and stability in the country.
