Right on schedule, HMD Global announced the Nokia 2.1 entry-level phone. It's the upgrade of the Nokia 2 last year.

It now has a Nordic design with rounded accent, scratch resistance, bigger screen, faster processor, better multimedia features, and Oreo (Go edition) OS which is upgradable to Android P.

The Nokia 2.1 boasts a 5.5-inch HD 1280 x 720 resolution which is bigger than the 5-inch display of the Nokia 2 last year.

Inside, it now runs with Qualcomm's 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz with Adreno 308 GPU. It's an upgrade coming from the Snapdragon 202 last year.

It also has 1GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot, and 4,000mAh battery with up to 2 days battery life. According to Nokia, they even managed to improve its battery performance by up to 3 hours.

It also has an 8MP AF main camera with single LED flash and a 5MP selfie shooter.

The highlight of this device is its dual front firing stereo speakers. It could give you loud tunes for listening to audio from your favorite music, TV shows, movies, games, and etc.

It also has WiFi, 4G LTE Cat 4, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

It'll come in blue copper, blue silver, and grey silver color. It is priced at USD 115 or around PHP 6K.

It will be available in key markets globally this July of 2018.
