Sony wins six TIPA 2018 Awards

The Technical Image Press Association held the 2018 TIPA Awards where Sony won awards on six categories. This sets a new record in TIPA awards history.

Sony a7 III

First off, the Sony a7 III won the "Best Mirrorless CSC Expert Full Frame" Award. The a7 III won with its 24.2MP back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor that has increased sensitivity, outstanding resolution and an impressive 15-stops of dynamic range at low sensitivities.  It also has great AF technology, fast shooting of up 10 FPS and 4K video capabilities.

The Sony a7 III is available at the price of PHP 129,999 at Sony Centers and Sony authorized dealers nationwide.

Sony a7R III

Then, the "Best Mirrorless CSC Professional High Res" Award went to the Sony a7R III. It has a high-res 42.4MP back-illuminated full-frame Exmor R CMOS image sensor. It can shoot fast as well at 10 FPS with full AF/AE tracking. It can shoot images in great detail and shoot videos of up to 4K resolution. It has a wide 15-stop dynamic range, high sensitivity with noise reduction of almost a full stop.

The Sony a7R III is available at authorized Sony dealers and stores nation at just PHP 179,999.

Sony a9

The "Best Mirrorless CSC Professional High Speed" Award was granted to the Sony a9. The a9 is capable of shooting high speed, blackout-free continuous shooting at up to 20 fps with 60 AF/AE tracking calculations per second. It also has a maximum shutter speed of 1/32,000 second.

The first-ever 35mm full-frame stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor made this possible by enabling data speed processing at up to 20x faster than previous Sony full-frame mirrorless camera. 

It is also available at all Sony Centers and Sony authorized dealers in the country for PHP 239,999.

Sony SEL24105G

In terms of lens, the "Best CSC Standard Zoom Lens" Award goes to the Sony SEL24105G FE 24-105 mm F4 G OSS lens. This is a full-frame lens that covers 24mm to 105mm focal length range which are easily the most commonly used. It is also lightweight which makes it very versatile and usable.

It is available at Sony Centers and ithorized dealers for PHP 82,990.

Sony a9 with the Sony SEL100400GM lens

The "Best Telephoto Zoom Lens" Award goes to the Sony SEL100400GM lens. It is an FE 100-400 mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS full-frame lens that can maintain the high standard of resolution that Sony's G Master series lenses are known for. 

It has fast and precise AF capabilities and a lightweight and highly portable design that allows for various functions and customized setups.

Sony RX10 IV

Lastly, the "Best Super Zoom Camera" Award goes to Sont RX10 IV. It has the one of the fastest AF speed at 0.03 seconds. It can shoot up to 24 FPS continuous shooting with full AF/AE tracking. It also has 315 PDAF points. It can also shoot 4K18 movie recordings with full pixel readout.
