This event is co-presented by the Mind Museum, Make Magazine and 3M Philippines. A Maker Faire is defined as "a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do."

It’s a chance for makers to show examples of their work and interact with others that sahre the same passion. These makers lack a place to showcase their work. DIY (Do-It-Yourself) craft is disregarded in our communities. When in fact it is some of the most common and useful things we see in our everyday lives. You can see them in shops, garages and on kitchen tables. It’s typically out of the spotlight of traditional art or science or craft events. That is why Maker Faire want these projects and ideas that to be more popular.

The MMMF 2018 will host over 70 makers from all over the Philippines. They will showcase paper craft, upcycled furniture, electronic beatboxes and a lightwight car body made out of abaca. These will be showcased along with robots, 3D printing, STEAM education and more.

Attendees can also sign up for a myriad of free and paid workshops. This will include workshops for paper engineering, clay and pottery-making, and 3D designing among others. The MMMF is also a chance for makers to build a stronger community through networking and collaborations.

MMMF also allows for Science and Arts to meld into something beautiful. They explore what cross-overs between engineering, science, art, performance and craft can manufacture. They break the boundaries of each field and allow them to freely work together to go to uncharted territories.

The MMMF 2018 has no entrance fees so you can freely check it out at the The Mind Museum on June 23-24.
