Nvidia has just made its RTX 2000 GPU series official! Included in the series are the powerful RTX 2070, RTX 2080, and RTX 2080 Ti, with the company assuring "up to 6x the performance of previous-generation graphic cards" as well as real-time ray tracing for these cards.

The main highlight of these newly-launched cards is ray tracing, a rendering technique that promises real-time light reflections and cinematic effects, allowing games to feel like movies.

Technology news and media network TheVerge said this feature was what has been searching for by PC gamers, and now Nvidia is targeting to bring this to the masses with the new cards.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang attributed the strong performance of the RTX 2000 series to the company's latest Turing architecture, which he described as "monster."
Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI, PNY, and Zotac will all have RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti cards available for preorder today, August 21, the company said.
RTX 2070 cards will have a starting price at USD 499; RTX 2080 at USD 699; and the RTX 2080 Ti at USD 999.
Nvidia has also readied Founders Editions for these cards with a price tag of: RTX 2070 Founders Edition at USD 599, RTX 2080 Founders Edition at USD 799, and the RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition at USD 1,199.
