POCO F1 is official, the cheapest Snapdragon 845 smartphone in the world

POCO, the new sub-brand of Xiaomi, just launched the F1. It's the world's most affordable smartphone with the flagship Snapdragon 845 processor.

The POCO F1 also boasts a notched 18.7:9 6.18-inch 2.5D curved screen with FHD+ resolution. The handset highlights also highlights a LiquidCool technology, up to 8GB RAM, and 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support via USB Type-C.

The F1 also has a dual camera setup at the back. It goes with a 12MP f/1.9 Sony IMX363 sensor primary sensor paired with a 5MP Samsung sensor. The back camera has Dual Pixel focus and LED flash. For selfies, it has a 20MP f/2.0 sensor with pixel binning technology. The back and front cameras are AI-assisted.

Other features of the phone include an IR face unlock, fingerprint sensor, Dirac HD audio, Dual Smart PA, dual 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, and hybrid dual SIM slots.

The handset also loads with Android 8.1 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 skin which is upgradable to Android Pie by Q4 2018.

The POCO F1 will be available in graphite black, steel blue, and rosso red colors. There's an Armored Edition variant with Kevlar back as well.

The price of the POCO F1 starts at Rs. 20,999 (PHP 16K). It is for the 6GB RAM/64GB ROM variant.

The 6GB RAM/128GB ROM model is priced at Rs. 23,999 (PHP 18.3K), the 8GB RAM/256GB variant is priced at 28,999 (PHP 22.1K), and the 8GB RAM/256GB Kevlar Armored Edition is priced at Rs. 29,999 (PHP 23K).

It will be available on Flipkart and Mi.com starting August 29.
