Huawei has silently unveiled the MediaPad M5 lite on their website. It's the lower-end variant of the MediaPad M5.

The MediaPad M5 lite features an aluminum metal body with a 10.1-inch 16:9 screen with FHD 1920 x 1200 resolution.

Inside, it has mid-range grade specs. It runs with the ageing Kirin 659 octa-core processor by HiSilicon with Mali-T830 MP2 GPU. It also has 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB ROM, expandable storage via microSD card up to 256GB, and large 7,500mAh battery with 9V/2A 2.9 hours fast charging time.
You can expect to use the tablet for an extended time due to its large battery capacity.
At the back, it has an 8MP shooter with fixed-focus. For selfies, it has the same 8MP sensor.

It also boasts a quad Harman Kardon speaker with Huawei Histen 5.0 sound system for 3D surround sound effect.

The tablet also has the M-Pen lite Stylus for some regions which can support 2049 levels of pressure sensitivity.
As expected, the tablet has WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, EDR, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, gravity sensor, light sensor, fingerprint sensor, hall sensor, status indicator, and compass.
The tablet will come in champagne gold and space grey colors. It measures at 243.4 x 162.2 x 7.7 mm and weighs at 475 g. It boots with Android 8.0 Oreo OS and EMUI 8.0 skin on the top.
There's no word on its actual price and date of international availability yet.
