Meizu announced the V8 Pro, 16X and the X8

Meizu is making some noise with the announcement of three new devices. These are the V8 Pro, 16X and the X8. Let's check out what they offer.

Meizu V8 Pro

First up is the Meizu V8 Pro which has a metal build with the fingerprint sensor at the back. It has a 5.7-inch HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Inside it has a 64-bit 2GHz Helio P22 octa-core 12nm SoC,IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU, 4GB of RAM with 64GB of expandable storage and a 3,100mAh battery.

In terms of camera, it has a dual 12MP f/2.2 + 5MP f/2.2 rear camera with dual tone LED flash and a 5MP f/1.9 selfie camera. As mentioned earlier, it has a fingerprint sensor found at the back.

It has dual band WiFi, hybrid dual SIM, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and GPS + GLONASS. It is running Android 8.1 Oreo with Flyme OS on top of it.

The V8 Pro comes in Black and Gold and will be priced at around CNY 1,098 (PHP 8.6K).

Meizu 16X

Next up is the Meizu 16X. It looks to have a metal and plastic design which looks good on the renders. That has not been confirmed yet though. In terms of display, it has a 6-inch AMOLED display at 2160 x 1080 resolution. It is housing a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, Adreno 616 GPU, 6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage and a 3,100mAh battery with mCharge fast charging.

The camera department sports a dual rear camera setup with 12MP f/1.8 Sony IMX380 sensor + 20MP f/2.6 Sony IMX350 telephoto lens with four-axis OIS, PDAF, laser AF, wide-angle lens and 6-LED ring flash. The selfie camera has a 20MP f/2.0 sensor with AI.

It has an In-Display fingerprint sensor and AI face unlock as well. It also has a dual 4G VoLTE SIM slots, dual band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5 mm audio port, dual speakers, and USB Type-C.

It is also running Android 8.1 Oreo with Flyme OS.

The Meizu 16X will come out in black, white and gold with a price of CNY 2,098 (PHP 16.5K) for the 64GB variant and CNY 2,398 (PHP 18.9K) for the 128GB variant.

Meizu X8

Last but not the least is the Meizu X8. The X8 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ display running at 2220 x 1080 resolution. Inside, it has a Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, Adreno 616 GPU, 4GB/6GB of LPDDR4X RAM, 64GB/128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and 3,210mAh battery with mCharge fast charging.

It has a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP f/1.9 Sony IMX362/Samsung 2L7 sensor + 5MP secondary sensor with Dual Pixel PDAF focus and dual-tone LED flash. It has a 20MP f/2.0 sensor for selfies.

For security, it has a fingerprint sensor at the back and AI face unlock.  It has dual band WiFi, dual 4G VoLTE SIM slots, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, 3.5 mm audio port, and USB Type-C. 

The Meizu X8 is running Android 8.1 Oreo with Flyme OS. It comes out in black, blue and white with three variants as well.

The 4GB/64GB variant is priced at CNY 1,598, 6GB/64GB for CNY 1,798 (PHP 14.1K) and 6GB/128GB CNY 1,998 (PHP 15.7K).
