Xiaomi confirms list of smartphones to be updated to Android Pie

Xiaomi has released the list of smartphones which will be updated to Android Pie before the end of the year. They also revealed those who will be updated to Oreo.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 with Snapdragon 845 is included!

Most of the Xiaomi smartphones that's eligible for the Android pie update are the new mid-range and flagship phones of the company.

The statement from Xiaomi

2. Mi 8

3. Mi 8 Explorer Edition

4. Mi 8 SE

5. Mi Max 3

We can expect that those phones will have most of the new features, security patches, and optimizations of Android Pie. In particular, I'm looking forward to try the Adaptive Battery feature to further optimize your battery usage and adapt to your needs.

On the other hand, the list of Xiaomi devices that will be updated to Oreo are some of the older phones of the company.

However, this list is only applicable for Xiaomi phones running with the MIUI China ROM. It is not yet clear if the phones with Global ROM will also get the update.

But, this news still shows that Xiaomi can update those devices.
