Grab and AutoItalia Philippines launches GrabTrike Premium service

Grab PH and AutoItalia Philippines finalizes their partnership to launch the GrabTrike Premium service that is focused on short-distance bookings.

Grab PH and AutoItalia PH partner up for GrabTrike Premium

As an improvement to the GrabTrike service and as an additional short-distance option, GrabTrike Premium will be using the Piaggio Ape City Fi units. These units are AutoItalia PH's highly successful three-wheeled light commercial vehicle based on the Vespra-brand scooter. It can load up to 300 kilos and can run either on gas or diesel.

Grab and AutoItalia PH is engaging more LGUs since they are the ones that regulate tricycles. They are pushing for the usage of Piaggio Ape units by either increasing the number of franchises or by using them as replacements to older trikes.

Binalonan is the first city to adopt GrabTrike Premium

GrabTrike Premium drivers using the Piaggio Ape is promised an improvement with their livelihood and welfare. The Piaggio Ape is highly customizable and will have increased protection from heat, rain and major accidents. They will also receive smartphones pre-installed with the Grab App, free Grab merchandise and additional income from booking fees.

The Municipality of Binalonan is the first LGU to adopt GrabTrike Premium in the country. They currently have 24 active Piaggio Ape in rotation.
