Fitbit just released the OS 3.0 update with improved on-device dashboard and goal-based exercise modes for the Ionic, Ionic: Adidas edition and Versa.

Fitbit launches OS 3.0 update
The new dashboard of the OS 3.0 lets you see even more personal data at a glance that includes sleep and expanded exercise view. It also adds quick logging for weight and water intake making adjustments according to data easier.
\You can also enjoy the new Goal-based Exercise Modes that allow you to set a milestone to reach such as calories burned. distance or time for more than 15 exercises such as running, biking, and swimming. You can see track you progress with real-time stats and enjoy celebration when milestones are reached.

There are also 10 new popular brand apps across health, fitness, smart home and lifestyle categories. These includes achu health, Couch to 5K, Genius Wrist and MySwimPro. FitBark, MINDBODY and TRX are also coming to the Fitbit App Gallery soon.

Fitbit also added a new Exercise API and open-source developer tools to provide the developer community with a faster and more efficient way to build complex and innovative health and fitness apps and clock faces.
The new Alpine Snow and Skateboard developer apps are also launching with it as well.
