Huawei P Smart 2019 with 6.21-inch with teardrop notch and Android Pie goes official

Huawei is not yet done this year! The Chinese tech giant just released its last smartphone of the year, the Huawei P Smart 2019.

Huawei P Smart 2019 key specs and highlights

The Huawei P Smart 2019 is a beautiful looking smartphone. It sports a 3D glass-like back cover design with gradient finish and a screen with small halo/waterdrop/teardrop-like notch. The small notch allowed the handset enjoy tiny bezels and big screen-to-body ratio.

Gradient design

The screen is 6.21-inch big IPS LCD with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution. It also highlights an Eye Comfort Mode to lessen blue light to protect your eyes when reading at night.

Inside, you will find a familiar chipset, the 12nm Kirin 710 AI octa-core processor with Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. It also comes with 3GB RAM, 64GB expandable storage, and 3,400mAh battery with micro USB charging.

On the camera part, it goes with a dual-camera setup at the back. It features a 13MP f/2.2 primary shooter and a 2MP depth camera. It also has the Master AI feature of Huawei for scene detection.

For selfies, there's an 8MP shooter. We won't be surprised if it'll have a face unlock tech as well.

Based on its design, the handset also has a fingerprint scanner at the back. It will also come with 4G LTE, GPS, and dual SIM slots.

The other highlight of this device is it loads with Android 9 Pie OS with EMUI 9.0 skin on the top.

The Huawei P Smart 2019 comes in midnight black, sapphire blue, and aurora blue color options.

It is priced at EUR 250 or around PHP 15K for the European market. It will ship starting January 2, 2019.

In the Philippines, you can get the Huawei Y9 2019 without the teardrop notch, but with bigger specs for much less.
