PLDT seems to be boosting the speeds of their Fibr subscribers. This is after reports from users on social media and forums surfaced.

Forums like TipidPC and Reddit are filled with posts from PLDT Fibr subscribers that are both confused and surprised at their upgraded speeds. The speeds are now almost double from their original speeds they were getting.
We did test out speeds ourselves and we can confirm the improved speed in specific areas. In one area, we were getting around 20 Mbps to 25 Mbps before but now speed test results showed 47.60 Mbps download and 49.18 Mbps upload.

The breakdown of the speed upgrades are as follows:
PLDT Fibr Unli Plan 1299 - before 3 to 5 Mbps, now up to 10 Mbps
PLDT Fibr Unli Plan 1699 - before 5 to 10 Mbps, now up to 20 Mbps
PLDT Fibr Unli Plan 1899 - before 20 to 25 Mbps, now up to 50 Mbps
PLDT Fibr Unli Plan 2899 - before 50 Mbps, now up to 100 Mbps
Speculations about this speed boost being permanent also came up since PLDT also took down their speed upgrade promo from their website. In its place, they posted their Google Home WiFi plans. The upgrades, according to PLDT service representatives, started in Makati and will be rolling out across Metro Manila in the coming weeks.
