Vivo Apex 2019 with Snapdragon 855 and 5G also has no ports and buttons!

A day after  Meizu Zero announcement, Vivo showcased their own smartphone with no ports and buttons, the Vivo Apex 2019.

Vivo Apex 2019 appears to be the even better smartphone with no ports and buttons. It uses a combination of capacitive touch and pressure-sensing technology to replace the usual power button and volume keys to achieve a seamless design and holeless design.

But it doesn't entirely relies on wireless charging like the Meizu Zero, the Vivo Apex 2019 has MagPort technology, a magnetic connector at the back for charging and data transfer.

In terms of specs, it is a totally different monster as well. It has a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen that also works as a speaker with the use of piezoelectric transducer to emit sound. It also has super slim bezels with no selfie camera in front.

Most likely, the selfie camera is hidden on top like the pop-up system of the Vivo NEX S.

Vivo Apex 2019 also has an advanced In-Display fingerprint scanner. They dubbed it as the Full-Display Fingerprint Scanning tech.

Under the hood, it is powered by the new Snapdragon 855 SoC with 12GB RAM, and 256GB or 512GB storage. It is the first phone of Vivo with massive 12GB of RAM.

At the back, there's a 12MP + 13MP dual-camera setup with LED flash. It is also the first smartphone by the company with 5G.

We do not know the battery capacity and if it has wireless charging yet. We are not sure if it'll use the eSIM technology as well.

Since this is still a concept smartphone, we could still see a lot of changes before they will release it to the market.

Vivo will show off this smartphone at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona.
