Redmi Go, an Android (Go edition) smartphone is coming to the Philippines

Xiaomi recently teased that a new smartphone is coming to the Philippines. Based on Revu's report, it is the Redmi Go, an Android (Go edition) budget smartphone.

Redmi Go will be the first Redmi device in the Philippines in 2019, not the famous Redmi Note 7.

In addition, based on the tip by Von Hector Magdua to Revu, Redmi Go's listing was found on e-commerce website Lazada.

Leaked key specs of Redmi Go

While there's no listed official price yet, Lazada revealed the specs of the upcoming Redmi phone. It also showed the design and "Go smart, do more" tagline of the phone.

Like most Android (Go edition) smartphones, the Redmi Go is an entry-level device with low-end specs.

It features a 16:9 5-inch LCD with HD 1280 x 720 resolution. Under the hood, the handset is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor with Adreno 308 GPU.

It will also come with 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, microSD card slot up to 128GB, 3,000mAh battery, 8MP primary camera, 5MP selfie camera, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) OS with lightweight Go edition apps.

It measures at 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.35 mm and weighs at 137 g.

The handset will come in black and blue color options.

We do not know the exact date of availability and price of the said handset yet.
