#MWC2019: Nubia introduces Alpha, a smartphone on your wrist
Nubia Alpha

Nubia wrist smartphone!

At a glance, you would probably think it is a normal smartwatch. But Nubia packed all the smartphone’s features in something that is small enough to wrap around your wrist.

Revealing this at the Mobile World Congress 2019, the device is water-resistant sporting a 4.01-inch flexible OLED display. Nubia has prepared two models: Bluetooth and eSIM, which supports 4G network.

It is powered by a Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor from Qualcomm, and has a 500mAh battery capacity.

The Nubia Alpha also offers sleep-tracking and health-assistant apps. You can also use your voice and gesture controls to navigate the device.

It also has a 5-megapixel camera for taking photos and video recording.

Price and availability

Nubia is set to release this in the global market within the year.

A black, Bluetooth variant will be available for EUR 449; a black 4G eSIM model, meanwhile, will have a price tag of EUR 549; and a 4G eSIM alternative coated in 18-karat gold for EUR 649.
