Huawei wants sub-brand Honor to be the fourth largest OEM

While Huawei continues its target to beat Korean rival Samsung, selling 200 million units last year, the group wants to level up Honor's game to also compete in the arena and to grab the status as the fourth largest OEM in the world.

Honor has been giving us smartphones packed with premium specifications and features, but for an affordable price.

If Huawei succeeds, Honor will be able to defeat Xiaomi in terms of shipments.

The group, however, did not disclose the detailed plan and timeline for this target.

Both Huawei and Honor witnessed strong performance in the market last year. Huawei posted USD 105 billion revenues, 19.5 percent higher than 2017.

Honor, on the other hand, saw its shipments surged 27.1 percent versus 2017, and international sales grew by more than 170 percent.
