But did you know that despite its affordable price, it looks more premium than any other budget phones?

Why realme 3's design is a standout?

Coming from the realme C1's design, this newest offering from the budget smartphone company features a tiny dewdrop notch instead of the bigger notch of its predecessor. And because of this, realme 3's display looks bigger now despite having the same 6.2-inch screen size.

It also has an improved design! Realme 3 features a gradient colorway and is mostly made out of a polycarbonate material with 3D-like curved back. It comes with a glossy, glass-like finish. It has metallic paint finish on the sides and glass protecting the flash and dual-cam.

Meanwhile on top, it has a 2.5D curved screen with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Overall, the rear design looks premium and doesn't look a budget smartphone at all.

One of the highlights of realme 3 also include its 88.3 percent screen-to-body ratio. This is a nice ratio for budget phones at this price point. The chin bezel is still a bit thick though. But for an entry-level phone, the screen real estate of this handset is considered as big.

The phone measures at 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.3 mm. It is even smaller compared with the iPhone 8 Plus with traditional 16:9 panel and 5.5-inch display which measures at 158.4 x 74.81 x 7.3 mm.

It does feel a little thick but relatively lightweight at 175 g.

Realme 3 is a rare find for this price point with its given design and specs, why? Because if you're going to take a look at it or compare it side by side with midrange priced smartphones, the differences are minimal. BUT, you get it for the starting price of PHP 6,990!

It is packed with the 2.0GHz Helio P60 octa-core processor with dual-core AI along with Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. In case you missed it, the Helio P60 can be found on the OPPO F9 which retails for PHP 17,990 back then.

Realme 3 comes in two variants of 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB, both are expandable up to 256GB via dedicated microSD slot. It runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie with ColorOS 6.0.
