A new monster from Fujifilm!

The new medium format sensor consists of a 102MP Bayer array CMOS sensor that is 1.7 times larger than 35mm full frame that is contained inside the Fujifilm G-Mount. It has an ISO range of 100-12800 that extends to 50-25600.

Because of the ridiculous amount of megapixels (resolution) that can capture even the smallest of movements or camera shake, it was paramount that the sensor be stabilized. The In-body Image Stabilization of the GFX 100 can compensate up to 5.5 stops in 5-axis.

The mechanical shutter speed goes from 1/4000th of a second to 60 minutes in Bulb mode while the Electronic Shutter goes up to 1/16000th of a second up to 60 minutes. It can shoot up to 5 frames per second stills and can shoot up to DCI4K 4096 x 2160 up to 29.97p at up to 400Mbps.

The camera can connect via Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi, USB-C, micro HDMI, 3.5mm stereo headphone jack and 3.5mm stereo microphone jack. It is big enough to fit two NP-T125 GFX batteries that allows it to shoot up to 800 shots. It also has a DC-in 15V power port if you want to plug the camera to the wall.

The camera weighs up to 1.4kg and is weather sealed that allows it to resist dust and water and can operate even in -10 degrees celsius!

Price and availability

There is now word yet when the GFX 100 will arrive in the Philippines but it is priced at PHP 599,990. This is affordable compared to the competing Medium Format Phase One with the same 100MP sensor that costs USD 48,990 or PHP 2.57 Million without tax and shipping.
