Huawei's first statement after Google's ban

First, Huawei said that the company has made substantial contributions to the development and growth of Android around the world. The company also said that they worked closely with Android to develop an ecosystem that has benefitted both users and the industry.

In fact, Huawei is the only brand with double digit growth according to Counterpoint's latest report.

Second, Huawei said that they will continue to provide security updates and after-sales services to all Huawei and Honor smartphone and tablet products including those that are still in stock globally.

We are just unsure if Huawei will continue providing major OS updates to their current phones.

Lastly, Huawei said that the company will continue to build a safe and sustainable software ecosystem, in order to provide the best experience for all users globally.

It hints that the company are making preparations for an  an eventuality of losing access to software from US companies such as Google and Microsoft.

But, we still hope that there will be a resolution in the ongoing US-China trade dispute.
