Globe Telecom has just sent out invites for the launch of an upcoming service in the Philippines on Thursday June 20, 2019.

The company's teaser said that it is the "world's fastest wireless technology" and it is "fiber fast".

What could it be? Most likely, it is for the company's commercial launch of the next-generation 5G technology.

Change is coming?

It could be the service that Globe CEO Ernest Cu teased a few weeks back with 100 Mbps of fiber-like speed over fixed wireless setup.

Globe's upcoming announcement is likely inline with with the company's promise to deliver 5G in the Philippines by Q2 2019. Previously, Globe also said they aim for nationwide 5G coverage soon.
