Samsung said that the new chip is designed to deliver "cutting-edge" gaming and graphics performance in a power-efficient package. It also has advanced AI capabilities thanks to its new neural processing unit.

EUV (extreme ultraviolet lithography), is a new manufacturing process that allows Samsung to leverage extreme ultraviolet wavelengths to print finer circuits and develop a faster and more power-efficient processor.

It uses two 4th generation CPUs, two Cortex-A75 cores for optimal performance and 4x Cortex-A55 cores for power efficiency. It is paired with Mali-G76 MP12 GPU that runs at faster clock speeds for speedier and smoother gaming. The chip also has a new NPU for faster AI processing.

It also supports up to LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 3.0 storage.

Samsung revealed that the chip also has 4G LTE-Advanced Pro modem and 8x Carrier Aggregation with up to 2Gbps of speeds. It is even compatible with the Exynos Modem 5100 with 5G NR.

With the help of its new NPU, the Exynos 9825's ISP could also help you take better images and videos. It supports up to 22MP back, 16MP + 16MP dual-cam, and 22MP front. It can enable up to 8K 30fps or 4K UHD at 150fps videos as well.

Samsung also said that it has a multi-format codec (MFC) supports up to 8K Ultra HD video encoding and decoding with diverse codecs including 10-bit HEVC (H.265) that can generate 1,024 different tones for each primary color.

The display subsystem also supports up to 4K UHD display and HDR10+.

Exynos 9825 also uses the physically unclonable function (PUF) for extra security.

The chip is expected to power the Galaxy Note10 phones.

Could this be the chip that will beat the Snapdragon 855 Plus?
