It also has a 6.47-inch 3D curved OLED screen with FHD+ resolution with an 88-degree waterfall-type curve that gives it a seamless look. There are no side buttons for the volume controls as you can use the side of the display for that. There is a notch that Huawei calls "Horizon Display" which is noticeably smaller in size.

2. Brand new Kirin 990 chipset - This is not the 5G version of the chip. However, there is a Mate 30 Pro 5G which has the Kirin 990 5G SoC built under 7nm+ EUV process with 10.3 billion transistors and a tri-core NPU.

For now, we will focus on the regular Mate 30 Pro since we don't have the 5G version yet. The Kirin 990 is based on 7nm process with 8.0 billion transistors. It can run up to 2.86GHz and it also has a Dual NPU that has 1 Big-Core and 1 Tiny-Core NPU.

It is backed by the Mali-G76 MP16 with the new-gen GPU Turbo, 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and a 256GB expandable storage.

3. Bigger battery with lots of charging solutions - The Mate 30 Pro has a 4,500mAh battery with options of 40W Supercharge, 27W Wireless SuperCharge and even Reverse Wireless Charging.

The bigger battery capacity ensures that you have enough juice for your regular daily load. The charging options further improve your battery life throughout the day since you can charge quickly whether wired or wireless.

According to Huawei, its reverse wireless charging feature is 3x faster than previous-gen reverse wireless charging.

It also sports ISO 409,600, 45x Zooming Range, Pro-Bokeh, Dual OIS-AIS stabilization solution.

In addition, it also has 4K 60fps video support, 7,680fps slow-mo at 720p, 4K time-lapse with HDR+ colors, and up to ISO 52,000 low light video.

For selfies, it has a 32MP shooter with 3D scanning hardware. The notch houses sensor to recognize hand gestures and auto-rotate by tracking the subject's head.

It uses NPU this time instead of just the traditional accelerometer.

Despite its monstrous hardware, it is more affordable compared to the competition such as the Samsung Note10 and the new iPhone 11 series.
