The newly announced realme 5 is set to disrupt the local entry-level segment as it is equipped with premium features with a starting price of PHP 6,990.

1. Massive screen display - It has one of the biggest screens for the said price range of 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, boasting 6.5-inch display that is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 +. The device also flaunts a 720p HD+ IPS panel, allowing it to have one of the most vibrant screens in the Philippine market.

2. Powerful specs - Inside the device, the Realme 5 is powered by Snapdragon 665 with Adreno 610, based on the 11nm manufacturing process with enhanced power efficiency. This can even compete with smartphones under the PHP 15,990 range, despite it having only a third of the price tag.

It has up to 4GB RAM and 128GB expandable storage as well.

3. Massive 5,000mAh battery - With under PHP 10,000, users, particularly those who are always on the go, should not worry about the battery capacity as Realme claimed the device could last for more than a day, even beating those smartphones worth PhPHP 16,000. 

So even though the realme 5 only has micro USB, the battery capacity should be enough to last all day. 

The device offers a 10W 5V/2A charger and charging time takes up to four hours.

4. Most affordable with functional quad-cam - Its rear camera setup, which easily makes it a versatile shooter, is composed of a 12MP f/1.8 with PDAF, 8MP f/2.25 119-degree ultra wide-angle camera, 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro camera, and 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. 

For its selfie shooter, the device is offering a 13MP camera, located on the notch under the earpiece.

5. Competitive pricing - The realme 5, despite its undoubtedly good features, has affordable prices, which makes it even more attractive to users as this does not break the bank.  

E-commerce giant Lazada has exclusive deal, offering the realme 5 3GB RAM/32GB for only PHP 6,990. 

Starting October 4, the device would be available across the country with a price tag of PHP 7,990 for the 3GB RAM/32GB model, and PHP 9,990 for 4GB RAM/128GB storage.
