PH Startup Week begins

On April 26, 2019, Philippine President Duterte signed the Innovative Startup Act. This is a Legislation that creates programs, benefits and incentives for enablers and startups called the Philippine Startup Development Program.

Philippine Startup Week 2019 (PHSW19) is the first-ever gathering of the Filipino Startup community in collaboration with DOST, DTI, DICT, QBO, IdeaSpace, and J.P. Morgan.

Attendees across the nation including Albay, Bohol, Butuan, Pampanga, Baguio, Iloilo, Cagayan, Davao, Dumaguete and Laguna participated in various activities that showcased the massive potential that will benefit the Filipinos in nation-building.

It is during the PHSW19 where representatives from different Government agencies have officially signed the Implementing Rules and Regulations for the new Innovative Startup Act.
