Ahead of its possible end 2019 launch, alleged specs of the rumored Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 has appeared online.

A reliable source has tipped Qualcomm is expected to make the chip official in its annual Tech Summit in Hawaii this December.

The chip is believed to be called Snapdragon 865, the successor of the current Snapdragon 855+ chip.

20 percent better overall performance?

According to the leak, the chip is built under Samsung's 7nm EUV process. It will come with ARM's Cortex-A77 primary core clocked at 2.84GHz, 3x Cortex-A77 cores with lower 2.42GHz clock speed, and 4x power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz.

It is expected to be 20 percent faster than SD855+.

The GPU is still unknown, but it is believed to be the Adreno 650 that could boast 20 percent better performance than the current Adreno 640.

There are speculations that it might support LPDDR5 RAM. There's no word on its AI game yet.

Samsung, Sony, and Xiaomi could be the first brands to rock this chip next year.
